I just finished reading through all of the Mariana Zapata books in February. I loved them all so much and she has become my favorite author. SO..... I decided to go back through and RE-READ all of them! This is big for me, I don't often read books again.
She is my favorite for many reasons. First, I love a slow burn. I know sometimes slow burns can be frustrating. But Zapata is just great at making it worth the wait. I also love that she has a way to make me love all of the characters whether they are main characters or side characters. Her books are all stand alone, but if you read them in publication order your will catch some easter eggs or get to know some of the side characters from other books that you already liked. As a romance reader I just love to get lost in these books and even though some of them have a lot of pages, it never feels that way. They are always a quick, fun, and heartwarming read.
I wanted to share this with you all in case anyone wants to jump in and read with me. Each month I will be creating a blog post for each book, even if you don't join in on the month I am reading it, the post will be here when you do. We can discuss the book in the comments of each blog post. Be sure to use the spoiler function and note the chapter if you plan to discuss spoilers.
I started in March with Lingus (not as bad as it sounds haha) It was my turn to pick a book for our 24 hour read- a-thon, so I picked this one to hopefully rope some of you all in and join me! Here is the link to the midnight reading sprints we did on @Amanda Feeser channel for Lingus. We had a blast and laughed a ton!
In the next couple of days I will create a post for that book and also a seperate one for my April book, Under Locke.
There will be no specific date to read it by. I will be reading it by the end of each month, but like I said feel free to join in when you can!
I will be reading one a month in publication order, following Mariana Zapata's website.
Here is the schedule I plan to follow:
April- Under Locke
June- Rhythm, Chord, & Malykhin
July- The Wall of Winnipeg and Me
August- Wait for It
September- From Lukov with Love
October- Dear Aaron
November- Luna and the Lie
December- The Best Thing
January- Hands Down
February- All Rhodes Lead Here
I am so excited to do this re-read and hope some of you can join! I know that @Stacyejaye is already on board! Stay tuned over the weekend for my group read blog posts for Lingus and Under Locke!
