Fired it up and played 30 seconds this week. Really unimpressed with the PC conversion only referring to f&*$ing controller buttons.

I suspect it won't be for me, but i'll give it a go. Too many other things to play ATM.

Ended up getting this. I'm not as awful at it as I have been at similar games. Been enjoying it so far. Though I've been mostly exploring, leveling, and avoiding bosses like the fucking plague, haha.

I'm  interested to hear if you guys have finished it by now or not, and your thoughts on the game (doesn't matter finished or not).

I got to play it on ps5 in April, took me 2 weeks to solo it to completion with all bosses and trophies. (yes I was at home for 2 weeks to be able to do this)

And I absolutely loved it! This is so far my game of the year, but I may be biased because I love all the Soulsbourne games 😇.

Soloing in 2 weeks is pretty good from what I hear.

No.  The world felt...empty?  I dunno, it was challenging and boring at the same time.  Felt like a serious lack of narrative.

I got to the 1st castle hub or whatever, did a few more areas then just got distracted and never went back.

Too bad you felt like it was overhyped, I think the hype was indeed pushed to every other genre of player...it's like saying everyone needs to play Mario 64 because it's just the best game ever, but I hate platformers (I don't, just example 😝).

They had a lot of fantasy readers hooked with the GRR Martin link, and that got a lot of people disappointed (who knew nothing about the games that came before) how hard and a total grind the game was.

For someone like me, who loves this genre, it is the best one I played so far (wanted to say played ever, but who knows what the future might bring). @Steve: the 2 weeks = 110 hours of actual gameplay.

Want to try it, play Dark Souls if it's cheap, not for you...then stay away from Elden Ring 😁. Bloodborne and Sekiro are different enough for me to put them in another slot/sub genre.

I posted on one of the liverstreams of Steve, don't want to play it but just interested in the lore, watch Vaatividya 😉.

The GRR thing led me to have the expectation of an intriguing story, which was probably why  I found the lack of one bothersome.

I have no idea and can't find if they finally fixed the pc version, and I don't know on what platform you are going to try it...there is no crossplay so I can't help you if it's not on PS5. 

Also the time difference could make long sessions, which you need to build up your character, hard to do with my help if you do have a ps5 (8 hours from us 😐).

Anyway, I saw this review (without too many spoilers) and it summed up what playing a souls game is like.

For those still unable to make up their minds about these games 😉.

Btw I started playing the pc version and have not encountered any major issues yet, will update if I get to at least 20 hour mark (maybe 😅).
