Steve 4,022 Posted July 4 I've been considering doing a chapter by chapter breakdown for The Prince of Nothing in podcast form. Maybe a few chapters an episode or each chapter having it's own episode. Not sure it would be all that interesting with it just being me, though. Anyone interested in doing this with me? arun1151 1 Posted July 8 I'm slowly building my friends in the sff universe. Would love to help this podcast out. I can talk during weekend afternoons and weekday evenings. I'm in eastern. 1 Steve reacted to this
drpuffnstuff 29 Posted July 8 once or twice doesnt matter to me. Whatever is best for you and your content creation schedule.. and afternoon after 4 is good for me as well. I just found the audiobooks for 5$ each so I can still get through the chapters if I'm not able to sit and read for any part of it. 1 Steve reacted to this

Katerina 11 Posted July 10 I would love the opportunity to talk Darkness with other people! I’m currently on The White-Luck Warrior (book 5) and Prince of Nothing has become one of my favourite series. Unfortunately, I’m in GMT+2 (CEST), which makes things a little bit complicated, but I don’t mind staying up late. Even if Fridays/Saturdays would be preferable for me for that reason, I can manage weekdays as well. 1 Steve reacted to this

I think because of time zones, days and availability maybe it would be better to do one day per week even if it's a large portion of the book. Time zones can be such a pain in the butt. Would Wednesdays at 3pm PST, 4pm MST, 5pm CST, 6pm EST and 12am CEST? But with @Katerina staying up late to join us maybe Fridays at 1pm CST, 2pm MST, 3pm CST, 4pm EST and 10pm CEST would be better? Thinking of starting in two weeks or so. What are your thoughts? The toughest part is finding days and times that work for everyone. If we choose Friday's I'd have to run after an hour and a half or so to make it to the Friday Conversation livestreams. 1 Katerina reacted to this Quote Steve IRL ► Personal Links: YouTube (booktube) ● OTBSteve YouTube (MTB and cycling) ● Strava ● Last.fm ● GoodReads ● Vero ◄
Katerina 11 Posted July 10 One day per week sounds reasonable. Fridays would be more comfortable for me, but if Wednesdays work better for everyone, let's do Wednesdays! I'm fine with starting in two weeks... How large of a chunk of the book do you think we should start with? 1 Steve reacted to this

How large of a chunk of the book do you think we should start with? I was thinking we could plan on about 100 - 150 pages of material to start out and see how it goes. I'm guessing some episodes will be a little longer just because there's more to talk about or we go off on a tangent Or we could just plan for an hour or 1.5 hours and get as much in as we want to or can Quote Steve IRL ► Personal Links: YouTube (booktube) ● OTBSteve YouTube (MTB and cycling) ● Strava ● Last.fm ● GoodReads ● Vero ◄

This format is perfect for me. It will help me stay on track versus waiting to start at the last minute and then cancelling . I am free both days at those times, so what works for everyone else is good for me. I'm actually excited!! 1 Steve reacted to this
Steve 4,022 Posted July 14 @Stacyejaye @Katerina @arun1151 @drpuffnstuff Let's try to get a day and time by this weekend if possible. Thinking Friday's might be better I would just have to stop after an hour and a half or so, but I'm open to ideas. Focusing on part 1 for the first episode is a fantastic idea.
