Las Vegas Book Festival, October 21st 2023... Page Chewing Meetup?

Last night we were talking about a potential destination for a meetup, and @Dolores Lima found this festival in Las Vegas in October. The weather would be nice and if there aren't any other major events going on that weekend it might actually work out!

I only live 8 hours away driving and about 45 minutes on a flight, so I'm down to go. Thoughts from everyone?

Unfortunately I live way too far away but I'll be cheering on remotely from wherever I am!

A meet up would be really cool but honestly I have no interest in going to Vegas😬 Not my type of place🤷🏻‍♂️

What other cities would people be interested in going to and meeting up?  I can research to see if there are book events and venues in those areas that would be conducive for our group. 

Also, if we were interested in meeting in Vegas, there is a hotel that I believe would be a nice venue.  Check out Alexis Park - https://www.alexispark.com/.  It is off of the strip and a non-gaming resort.  I attended an event here in 2019 and found the property to be nice and relaxing.

Awesome!   Let me make some inquiries with the Alexis Resort on what they have available for hotel rooms and a possible meeting room.  Stay tuned!

I've been thinking about maybe buying a booth there since I live so close. I'm already going to be an exhibitor at the LA Festival of Books, so I want to see how that experience is before committing.

Either way, as an exhibitor or as a patron, I'll try to be in Vegas for this!

You can normally get cheap flights to Vegas from anywhere in the US. That would be something interesting to check out
