Steve 6,665 Posted March 16 I like the episodic format for this series. While still connected, it’s nice to have different characters now and then. Some stories weren’t as effective as others. The one that stands out so far (I’m about 50% in) is the snails story. Spoiler I didn’t expect this story to disturb me so much. The visuals and plot worked really well. There were times that I was more than a little uncomfortable. Really effective. I read about half today one short story at a time whenever i had about 5-10 min to spare, plus in one longer 30min long sitting. I found 5-10 min is just about enough to get through one chapter. 1 Steve reacted to this Quote ► ● Booktube ● Goodreads ● Twitter ● Email

dnfire17 29 Posted March 18 Tried to see if I could make it for today's discussion but in the end I will be busy. I did take the opportunity to re-read it tho and look forward to listening to your discussion. BTW, my favorite chapter is probably the one with the mosquito women in the hospital, the scene where the baby get sewn back into the mother is stuff of nightmares. 2 Steve and Varsha reacted to this
Amazing Worlds 262 Posted March 18 Back from a fiver hour drive. Going to squeeze a run in and a shower, should be able to make it for the stream, kids permitting. Looking forward to it. 2 Steve and Varsha reacted to this
